The products presented in our showroom and on our website are covered by a 2-year statutory warranty under the Georgian law "On the Protection of Consumer Rights", except in exceptional cases. In the text below, which is an adapted version of the original document, you can find the information you need.

 

What you need to know

 

A factory defect is a manufacturing defect/damage to a product that is allowed by the manufacturer;

Warranty obligations do not apply to damage caused by natural wear and tear, improper operation, or mechanical damage;

Upon receipt of the product, the customer must check its visual condition and the functioning of the mechanisms in the presence of the delivery service employees;

In case of detection of any type of defect, the customer must contact the company and explain the problem in detail;

The price of the products available in the showroom and on the website includes the full cost of transportation, delivery, and installation of the item throughout Georgia. Exception: If the delivery service employees are not provided with an elevator or other lifting mechanism

 

Warranty conditions

 

The warranty period begins from the moment the product is transferred to the consumer;

When the sold goods are transferred to the consumer, the risk of accidental damage to the goods is transferred to him;

In the event of sending the product to the consumer, the risk of accidental damage or deterioration of the product is transferred to the consumer;

Each product must be used in accordance with the conditions specified by the manufacturer in the instructions;

Products purchased at Art Maison cannot be returned;

In the event of cancellation of the contract, the consumer is liable for compensation in the amount of up to 30% of the value of the purchased item;

 

Conditions for the fulfillment of warranty obligations

 

Upon detection of a product defect, the customer is obliged to immediately contact us for its elimination.

Art Maison is subject to warranty obligations only if the customer has complied with the warranty obligations and presents the product along with an identity document and a payment receipt.

Comforter's warranty obligation includes product repair/replacement/replacement and installation/dismantling.

Until it is determined whether the damage to the product constitutes a factory defect or not, the customer must pay the service fee of 100 GEL. In case the damage to the item is assessed as a factory defect/defect, along with the elimination of the damage, the buyer will be refunded the 100 GEL paid.

The term for repair/replacement/replacement of the defective product or refund during the warranty period is individual and is determined in advance.

In case the damage is not assessed as a factory defect and the customer wants the damage to be eliminated (if possible), he/she must additionally pay the cost of the damage repair service, which will be informed in detail.

In case the product is replaced with a new one during the warranty period, the warranty period of the product will remain unchanged.

Direct or indirect financial expenses caused by a factory defect (during the warranty period) to the product will be borne by the customer and will not be reimbursed by Art Maison.

In case it is determined that the damaged product is not subject to If the product is damaged/repaired and needs to be replaced/replaced, we will replace/replace the product with a product of the same manufacturer or a product of another manufacturer with the same specifications. If the cost of the new product exceeds the amount paid by the client, then the customer is obliged to pay the difference.

In the event that the parties are unable to resolve the dispute related to the warranty conditions of the product through negotiations, the parties shall apply to the LEPL “Levan Samkharauli National Bureau of Forensic Expertise”. The cost of the examination is paid by the customer, but in the event that a factory defect is detected in the product, Comforter will reimburse the customer for the cost of the examination.

 

Conditions for failure to fulfill warranty obligations

 

Art Maison is exempt from warranty obligations in the following cases:

If the product has been used by the consumer for an incorrect purpose or in violation of the manufacturer's instructions for the item;

If an inappropriate accessory is placed on the product or additional equipment is used by the consumer;

If damage to the product is caused by the consumer's intentional and careless handling or inappropriate use, including incorrect operation, which cannot be considered a manufacturing defect;

If the product has external, obvious or hidden mechanical damage as a result of impact;

If the condition of the product is significantly different from the condition on the day of delivery of the item (for example, the product has: cracks, scratches, breaks, etc.);

If various types of substances, liquids or foreign bodies have come into contact with the product;

If the consumer has provided the product with its own initiative Repair/restoration and/or change in appearance/form;

If the product damage and/or malfunction is caused by improper transportation, movement or storage by the user;

The warranty conditions do not apply to such detail(s) that are subject to natural wear and tear; to accessory(s) that are subject to replacement; to technical/restoration services (e.g. cleaning, washing, etc.).

 

Company response time for warranty claims

 

Art Maison responds appropriately within the following timeframes:

Tbilisi – 5 working days from the call;

Eastern Georgia – no later than 7 working days from the call;

Western Georgia – no later than 14 working days from the call.

 

General furniture care instructions

 

Do not place furniture:

in direct sunlight;

near heating devices;

in a damp place.

When moving furniture, first remove it from the floor and then change its location.

During transportation and storage, furniture must be reliably protected:

from placing hot objects on it;

from chemical solutions;

from moisture, dirt, strong shocks;

from impact with heavy objects and from falling from a height.

 

Furniture care recommendations

 

To remove dust and maintain its shine, the fabric should be cleaned regularly with a furniture vacuum cleaner or a soft brush.

Fresh, greasy or wet stains are removed as follows: Apply a well-wrung towel → Treat the contaminated area with a little water and liquid soap → Wait 2-3 minutes → Remove the stain with a sponge or soft brush in circular motions → Dry the damp surface carefully, in the appropriate direction.

A surface stained with a felt-tip pen or lipstick can be cleaned with 10% alcohol. Do not try to rub or scrape off dried stains.

 

 

Do not use on leather furniture:

 

Chemical solvents;

Abrasive pastes/powders;

 

 

Instructions for cleaning leather furniture:

 

Clean the furniture in circular motions. To remove dirt, use a soft flannel cloth dampened with water. If the dirt is very heavy, use a mild solution of neutral soap.

Friction and sharp movements damage leather furniture. Twice a year, the surface of leather furniture should be treated directly with a special product intended for leather furniture, which can be purchased at the supermarket.

It is advisable to care for solid wood and surfaces covered with natural coatings with a dry, soft cloth. You can also use a vacuum cleaner equipped with a soft brush.

 

Rules and recommendations for using furniture

 

It is recommended that the air temperature in the room be from +10°C to +28°C with a relative humidity of 40-65%;

Maximum load on the chair: 90 – 125 kg; on the raster mechanisms: 20 – 30 kg; on the sleeping part: 90 – 125 kg;

Do not use the chair and bed for jumping and other physical exercises;

Do not stand with your feet on the soft elements of the chair handles and back;

Do not place a point load on the surface of the furniture;

Do not place the chair on two legs and do not lean the back while sitting.

 

Mattress care:

 

Avoid applying strong pressure to the mattress, as this can cause it to deform; Avoid getting dirt and liquids on the mattress and use protective layers to prevent stains; Check that the mattress is properly positioned in the bed frame, in the correct direction. Otherwise, improper placement will damage the mattress within 2-3 months.

 

Instructions for using the transformation mechanism

 

Make sure that there are no foreign objects in the folding parts of the mechanism;

A creaking sound during operation of the mechanism is not a defect and can be easily eliminated by lubricating the parts;
